STEP BY STEP GUIDE

  • Make sure you have all the USB cable that came with your Galaxy Core
  • Keep your Galaxy Core charged to a minimum of 85% so it doesn’t turn off during the Jelly Bean 4.1.2 latest firmware update
  • Enable USB debugging mode on your phone by going to path: Settings > Developer mode > USB Debugging
  • Make sure that you have all the drivers installed on your computer to support your Galaxy Core
*Download and install odin from Here
*Download jelly bean 4.1.2 firmware from Here and unzip its contents on your desktop

                                                       TUTORIAL

Step 1 - After you’ve downloaded the files above (and installed Odin), put your galaxy Core in download mode by first turning it off, and on again by pressing Volume down + Home button + Power button. And as soon as you see the construction bot, press Volume Up. You are no in download mode.
Step 2 - Launch Odin and connect your Galaxy Core to the computer via the original USB cable – you should see the COM section in Odin turn yellow along with some numbers and an “Added” message appear in the bottom left of Odin, this confirms that the connection is successful
Step 3 - Click PDA in Odin and select the .tar.md5 file you extracted on your desktop earlier. Similarly, click Phone and select the file you extracted on the desktop that has modem in its name, Click CSC and select the file with csc in its name, select PIT and select the .pit file.
Step 4 - Tick mark Auto Reboot, F. Reset and Re-Partition. Double check everything to be safe and click Start.
There you go. The installation should complete in about 5 minutes, after that you Galaxy Core will reboot automatically. Don’t rush though, the first boot is always the longest so sit tight. If you think your galaxy Core is stuck on the welcome screen – just reinsert the battery and reboot, it should do the trick
